How can I get a copy of a bid?
All solicitations valued in excess of $10,000 are posted on the Georgia Procurement Registry or through the eQuote System.  State agencies, cities, counties, and local school systems have the ability to post their bid opportunities to the Georgia Procurement Registry. The Georgia Procurement Registry is located behind the State Purchasing home page>Georgia Procurement Registry. DOAS encourages you to visit the site frequently and consistently, as bid opportunities are posted daily and solicitations are no longer mailed to prospective vendors. On the Registry, you can also download solicitations and attachments.

How can I view a previously awarded bid?
Contact the Purchasing Agent who awarded the bid and arrange to review.

How soon can I get the results of a bid opening?
As soon as the evaluation and award process ends. This process varies depending on the complexity of the solicitation.

What are the requirements for being able to bid on a contract solicitation?
Requirements for being able to bid on a contract solicitation are:

1. Have a valid business license.
2. Must be equipped to provide products/services and any additional documentation requested according to bid specifications/requirements.

How can I learn what the state is buying?
The State Purchasing Web site at www.statepurchasing.doas.georgia.gov, behind the link called Services>Statewide Contracts, contains a list of all current statewide contracts. A list of current contract solicitations with estimated values in excess of $10,000 can be found under the Georgia Procurement Registry. You are able to search for awarded solicitations for the current and previous state of Georgia fiscal years, which run from July 1 to June 30. 

What are the competitive requirements for the state of Georgia?

Under $5,000.00
No Bidding Required

$5,000.00 - $10,000.00
Competitive Bids Required / Does not require posting to Georgia Procurement Registry.

$10,000.00 and over
Competitive Bids Required / Must post to Georgia Procurement Registry or solicited through the eQuote system.
