About Surplus Property

The Surplus Property Division is responsible for the redistribution and disposal of state personal property and serves as the State Agency for Surplus Property (SASP) for the federal personal property disposal programs.

Mission

The mission of DOAS Surplus Property Division is to ensure the equitable and appropriate redistribution and disposal of Georgia State and Federal personal property to state and municipal governments, and eligible non-profit organizations.

In order to accomplish this mission, the Surplus Customer Service Team is available to support agencies in the disposal and acquisition of surplus property. Additionally, the team is available to provide suggestions regarding the best methods of surplus property disposal

Services

The Surplus Property Division provides services for state, local, and non-profit entities and bidding opportunities for the general public.
