The first step in becoming a successful supplier with the State of Georgia is properly registering your company in the Team Georgia Marketplace

registration system. By doing so, you will receive electronic notification of all sourcing events related to your company’s profile as they occur. Other benefits you will receive include:

Supplier Registration / Team Georgia Marketplace

Team Georgia Marketplace is the center for e-business matching Georgia government buyers with sellers. By registering in Team Georgia Marketplace, your contact information and the NIGP codes for which you are registered will be available to those agencies and buyers who have changed to Team Georgia Marketplace for their procurement processes.

Georgia Procurement Manual / 7 Stages of Procurement

The underlying purposes and policies of the Georgia Procurement Manual are to:

	Simplify and clarify the law governing procurement by the State of Georgia.
	Permit the continued development of centralized procurement policies and practices.
	Make as consistent as possible the procurement regulations among the various state agencies.

Supplier Orientation

These sessions feature information on how to register your company to be on the state's supplier list and establish your eligibility to receive bid notices. General information will be given about the purchasing process and the various kinds of purchases that are made by government entities. Members of the State Purchasing Sourcing Team will be available for discussions.

These Seminars are held from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at 200 Piedmont Avenue, Suite 1816 in the West Tower.

There is no charge for the seminars. We request that you register through training@doas.ga.gov prior to the seminar date. Include your name, company, and contact information.

Online Orientation

We are proud to offer Supplier Orientation online to serve those business owners who might not have an opportunity to visit our physical location. During this presentation you will learn the steps to becoming a successful supplier with the State of Georgia.

Minority Businesses / DOT Certification

A collaborative effort between DOAS and the Georgia Department of Transportation provides a process for minority certification. Companies desiring to certify as a “minority business enterprise” or a “minority subcontractor” may do so by submitting an application to the GDOT.
